The soldier’s croft and the exhibition
Around the soldier’s croft we have recreated an environment that demonstrates how it could look like in the mid-1800s. You get the chance to enter the croft and experience how it used to be in a real soldier’s croft. You can also read about all the families that used to live in the Soldier’s Croft no. 143.
There is also an exhibition right next to the croft, “The Soldier and the Croft”, where you can learn more about the soldier, his family and the civil society from the mid-1600s to the beginning of the 20th century.
The Soldier’s Croft and the exhibition closes an hour before the museum.
The exhibition is open all year and the Croft is season closed oct-may.
